BizTweet

In this information age communication is more important than ever. Technology is constantly evolving, and the birth of the web 2.0 has given businesses a cost effective tool to communicate with their target audiences quickly. Companies are using the power of social media platforms as part of their integrated marketing campaigns to reach out to their consumers. The preferred social platform for business users today is Twitter. This is a valuable source of real time information that can be easily accessed from mobile devices and any form of internet service provider. It is a simple and flexible tool, which is significant for businesses that have a technologically diverse target market. The business benefits of Twitter are wide and varied and allow businesses to improve their customer services, enhance their brand awareness or take control of their public relations. Until now this information has been transmitted, or ‘tweeted’, by trained personnel or by using a generic automated application that delivers the same standard message to all of its customers.

BizTweet is a bespoke, state of the art software application that uses the Twitter platform to transform the way ‘we’ (businesses and consumers) communicate with each other.

How does BizTweet software work?

For Businesses: BizTweet allows you to provide detailed information and answers to your customers in real time, 24 hours a day. It also deciphers and analyses incoming Tweets and then uses the information from your data to formulate an automated personalised reply to your customer. The automated service allows you to be in constant contact with your customers on the issues that matter to them.

For Consumers: Consumers can access immediate answers to questions regarding your services by registering or requesting information via their Twitter account. Once the information is requested they will receive a real time, bespoke reply within sixty seconds.

The initial design phase of BizTweet began in June 2009 and entered the integration and testing phase in September 2009. From October 2009 the application went ‘live’ using a template model, i.e. @localnumber. This was an important phase to check the software for errors, bugs and interoperability. Between October 2009 and July 2010 TIC re-engineered parts of BizTweet’s functionality to ensure its robustness within the Twitter methodologies. We have rigorously tested the product at every stage of its lifecycle. Since September 2010 BizTweet has been fully operational.
